SAD; Police shot dead a bus driver in Ekiti state after he refused to bribe them (details and photos)

The sad news happened in Oye Ekiti, Ekiti state, where a commercial bus driver was shot dead by the police after he refused to issue a certain amount of bribe demanded by the police at the check point.


The story was narrated by an eye witness Bamtale Ogontoyimbo who was a chairman of Oye LGA, according to him the unholy incident happened last night, he said the dispute between the police and the driver started when the police demanded for a certain amount of money from the driver, but the driver declined on offering such amount for bribe. He revesled that the Police van trailed the bus driver, who was on his way from Ilorin through Ayegbaju Ifaki road, then he was finally shot dead at Oye, leaving the bus and the passengers at the mercy of only God knows.
The bus somersaulted as it was no longer controlled by a driver. The passengers sustained injuries but no second death was recorded.
