Read the story of the man who has carried out the biggest scam in Nigerian History.

This is about Emanuel Nwude, from Anambra state, and a former director of Union bank, who used his office and banking genus ism to defraud a Brazilian the sum of 242 million USD in a scam that is believed to be the highest in the country and is believed to be the third in the world after the Nick Leeson's trading losses at barings bank and the looting of the Iraqi central bank by Qusay Hussein. The deal was the selling of an  airport to a Brazilian named Nelson Sakaguch, the airport in question does not exist. how he went about it will not only make you call him an exceptional thief but you certainly accost his intelligence.


 The crime was committed between 1996 to 1997, Nwude pretended to Sakaguchi to be the Central bank governor of Nigeria, and the federal government wants to build an airport in Abuja, as the central bank governor such project must pass through his office, Nwude was able to get his deal done by convincing Sakakuchi who was the director of a bank in Brazil to partner with so much money for the porches of the airport. Nwude told the Brazilian that he stood a chance of pocketing a sum of 10 million dollars, when the deal passes through, Sakaguchi paid 191 million dollars in cash and the remainder in the form of outstanding interest.

Nwude team of fraudsters were Nzeribe Okoli, Obum Osakwe and Emmanuel Ofolue alongside a husband and wife duo Christien Anajemba and Amake Anajemba, but Christian was later assassinated, their job was to convince the Brazilian bank director to partner with the money, which they did without errors.

The birth of EFCC was the link that led to the arrest of Nwude, and his gang, he was sentenced to five years in prison, truth was known from Amaka's confession, but the King scammer was later freed from prison, he was charged with attempt on bribary because he tried to bribe the then EFCC chairman Nuhu Ribadu, but that did not work because the EFCC boss clearly refused, he was also told to pay the central government the sum of 10 million dollars. He was released in 2006 and he filed a case to reclaim his asset, which he claimed was acquired before the criminal act, so far he was able to reclaim 161 million dollars.

After the criminal issue of Nwude, A land dispute in the town of Upko in Dubukofia area with Abagana community turned bloody, when over 200 hundred men invaded the community killing four policemen and a security guard at the construction site in 2016. After series of investigations, the Anambra state government fingered out that Nwude was the prime leader of the act, he is being charged with murder and terrorism, and the court case is still in court.
