Notorious armed robbers opperating in Abuja now in Police net.

Finally it is the end of the road for the nine deadly armed robbers who have been terrorizing the city of Abuja, the robbers where nabbed by the Police special Intelligence Response Team, lade by Assistant Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari. The Police source said.... “The gang’s downfall started after a series of the complaints. Among the complainants was Pastor Davies. Many other victims attacked and robbed are residents of Mabushi area in the FCT. Clearly determined to stop the gang, the IGP, Ibrahim Idris, instructed IRT to track and apprehend the gang members.
“The IRT operatives immediately launched a massive manhunt against the robbers. On May 22, one of the gang members, Lawal Peters (25), was arrested and a stolen Infinix Hotnote phone recovered from him. Peters confessed to armed robbery and led operatives to their hideout at Mabushi, FCT, where the first five suspected gang members were arrested.”

 Other gang members are Emmanuel Adole (26), who sold Pastor Davies’ stolen Camry for N400,000
Ojuma Onoja (24), who is in possession of the two phones and a gold wristwatch belonging to the pastor. Others are Danjuma Mohammed (30), Dickson Uche (21) and Ali Abdul (24). The suspects were said to have confessed to several armed robberies in Abuja. The confessions took operatives to Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers states to pick up other suspects – Friday Emmanuel (28), Akaninyena Etukdo (32), Ikechukwu John (32) and Joe Effiong (28).
