Northern states to experience thunderstorms and cloudy weather today according to predictions.

These Nigerian cities will experience hash thunder storms today 28 June, and also a cloudy weather, the cities are mostly from the central states of the country. The cities to be affected are Bauchi, Jos, Minna and Gombe. Also it was predicted that the northern states will experience a cloudy weather with chances of isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours of the day.


The weather predictions came from the Nigerian Meteorological Agency [NiMet] over the central states with chances of isolated thunderstorms in Lafia, Abuja, Jos, Bauchi, Gombe and Makurdi in the morning times.

NiMet weather outlook from its Central Forcast Office [CFO] on Tuesday in Abuja predicted day and night temperatures of27 to 34 and 19 to 26 degree Celsius respectively. In addition, it said that their would be prospect of thunderstorms in Bauchi, Abuja, Jos Gombe and Makurdi during the afternoon and evening hours of today the 28 of June.

The agency also predicted that southern state will experience cloudy morning with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Ikom Obudu Abeokuta Akure, Ogoja and Enugu in the afternoon and evening hours of the day. The predictions continued, this time it predicted morning rains in Lagos, Warri, Yanagoa, PH, Calabar and Eket with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the coastal cities during the afternoon and evening hours of the day.

NiMet concluded that the Southern states will experience day and night temperatures of 30 to 38 and 21 to 25 degree Celsius respectively.
