Woman poisons her two children, The reason will make you sick.

A 32 year old Helen Okwata is currently in prison in Bayelsa state after she forced her two children to drink parafox, a herbicide used for curbing weeds.
The reason was that her husband failed to provide for the family on Christmas period.

Mrs Okwata committed the crime in Kolo Ogbia Local Government area of Bayelsa state on December 22n last year.

She had two children, a year old girl Gloria and a 2 year old son Innocent.
Glori survived the poison but her brother Innocent died on the spot.

Mrs Okwata has admitted that she deliberately poisoned her children but says she has relized her mistake and plead for forgiveness.
She said her daughter survived the poison due to self medications and hospital treatment.

The state commissioner of police confirmed the incident and added that the case has been transfered to the homicide section of the Criminal Investigation Department where the suspect is in detention.
