PROFESSIONAL ERROR; 4- yeear- old girl wrongly diagnosed then this painful thing don to her. [SEE PHOTOS]

Nigerians has reacted in sorrow over a 4- year- old girl wrongly diagnosed, which led to her leg being amputated.


According to reports the 4- year- old identified as Rukayya was ill and was taken to the hospital in Zaria Kaduna state where she was diagnosed of malaria and was confirmed a sicklier.
She was treated and her parents took her back home, later it was observed that their were no improvement in her health, she was taken back to the hospital and was admitted immediately.

She was transfused with blood through a vain in her leg, because, according them they could not find any in her hands. After the transfusion she was discharged. Later on, the leg became swollen and little Rukayya had to be taken back to the hospital. Her parents were told to take her back home and elevate her leg then administer ice therapy.

When that didn't work, she was taken back to the hospital, after she was examined, it was clear that nothing could be done to her leg. Then her parents were advised to take her to A.B.U Teaching hospital Shika Zaria. On reaching their Rukkaya was immediately taken to the emergency room and the doctors, after examinations on her, told her parents that her leg need to be amputated immediately due to the infection that is spreading in her body through her leg, so poor Rukayya now has one leg now.

Later on, test carried out shows that Rukayya was not even a sicklier, which means, the peripheral hospital diagnosed her wrongly.

GIWAC has filed a petition on behalf of Rukayya to the Executive Governor of Kaduna state, commissioner of Police, Speaker, state house of Assembly, the elected members representing her constituency [Bassawa Constituency] in the state Assembly and the chairman of her Local Government [Sabon Gari].
