WAEC GCE to be held two times a year starting from 2017.

Some students will see this as good news. West African Examination Council (WAEC) has announced that the General Certificate Examination (GCE) for private candidates will now be held twice a year starting from 2017.

The registrer of the council Dr Iyi Uwadiae made this known speaking to journalists in Accra Ghana. According to Dr Iyi.
"The West African Senior Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates known as the November/December diet will now be conducted in January/February and August/September"

The reason according to Dr Iyi is to enable many interested candidates to write the examination and acquire the certificate.
