FIDEL CASTRO is dead.

The world was shocked as the news of the death of Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro was made known.
He was aged 90 years, Fidel Castro the iconic figure who believed only on his own policies that sparked up the cold war and turned Cuba into a socialist country will forever be remembered.

    
Fidel was born August 26 to the family of a wealthy farmer who adopted leftist anti-imperialist politics while a law student in the universidad de Havana.

After surviving years of imprisonment he moved to Mexico in north America were he formed a revolutionary group, alongside his brother Raul Castro and Che Guevara. He returned to Cuba and overthrew Batista in the year 1959.

Fidel Castro ruled Cuba for five decades then ceded power to his brother Raul because of health problems.
As president he was a strong ally to the SOVIET UNION that made him a total adversary to the UNITED STATE. This led to the cold war.
