One of the largest gathering was in New York, where about 5,000 people came together at the Trump tower in Manhattan, shouting "NOT MY PRESIDENT".
Over thirty people were held in New York for creating public disorder according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).
Other significant gathering were held in philadelphia, Pensylvania and Chicago Illinois, where protesters gathered in front of the Trump Tower and shouting abusive words against the President-elect.
