According to the JTF the humen skulls were discovered in shrines in some local government areas of Rivers State which has seriouse issues of militancy.
They estimated the human skulls to be about 25 in number in shrines believed to be owned by militants.
The also said that they have arrested 44 members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Bayelsa state.
IPOB is one of the major organization battling for the independence of the Igbos in Nigeria. Nnamdi Kanu their leader is still detention.
On the arrest co-ordinator of the joint media campaign centre ODS Lt Col Olalu Daudu reportedly said sector 4 troops of the outfit in Cross River state raided Ikot Ene Idem Abakpa and Ikang Inam in Bakassi and Akpabuyo local government areas of the state.
They also found with the 25 human skulls a complete human skeleton and many other human body parts.
The shrine were also destroyed and two militant spies were arrested.
